CITY OF LACKAWANNA
TRAFFIC COURT
TRAFFIC COURT
PLEA OFFERS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED VIA EMAIL TO cityprosecutor@lackny.com. If you must speak with the City Prosecutor about your case, you will have to personally appear in court on your scheduled court date.
Vehicle and traffic matters WILL NOT be processed via telephone, mail, fax or any other means than those indicated here. You will NOT receive a response if you contact us by any method other than the online submission.
There are three (3) ways to resolve your traffic ticket:
YOUR FAILURE TO DISPOSE OF VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC MATTERS EITHER THROUGH A PLEA OF GUILTY, A PLEA REDUCTION OFFER OR THROUGH YOUR APPEARANCE IN COURT COULD RESULT IN A SUSPENSION OF YOUR LICENSE
License Suspensions:
If your license has been suspended by the DMV due to a failure to answer a vehicle and traffic ticket issued in the City of Lackawanna, you must appear in Court and speak with the City Prosecutor regarding a plea. After appearing in Court and notification to the DMV, there will be an additional $70.00 fine to lift the suspension. Please note that there may be other fines assessed by the Court with respect to any vehicle and traffic violation(s).

- You may hire an attorney to represent you in all proceedings.
- You should contact the court and tell the court that you do not want a plea offer so the court can schedule your matter as soon as possible.
