Zoning Code Update Project 

Review and Feedback Schedule

Since January, 2024 the City of Lackawanna Department of Development, in partnership with C&S Companies, has been working on a NYS Department of State (DOS) grant-funded project to update / refresh the City’s Zoning Code.

The grant period for this project ends on 12/31/26, at which time all related work must be completed in accordance with DOS guidelines and adopted by the City Council.

Given the large volume of material contained in the City’s Zoning Code and, to facilitate city administration, city council and public review / feedback, code sections and recommended edits will be presented in five (5) groupings as follows:

  • The public will have access to this material anywhere from two to four weeks in advance of these meetings either electronically via the homepage of the city website (https:lackawannany.gov) and / or in hard copies available in the City Hall lobby.
