The Public Information Officer serves as the City of Lackawanna’s lead Marketing and Communications official, supporting the Office of the Mayor, City Council and City Departments in the following areas:

  • Development and implementation of strategic marketing activities promoting economic and other development initiatives,
  • Primary contact for all media, trade association and community inquiries,
  • Management of the City’s official social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube) and web site information,
  • Development of media and community-based communications and presentations from the Office of the Mayor, City Council and/or other City departments
  • Management of press and other related events promoting economic development and other community initiatives.
